Gemma 4 31B IT is Google DeepMind's instruction-tuned dense Gemma 4 checkpoint, released on April 2, 2026 under Apache 2.0; its complete BF16 checkpoint contains 31,273,088,876 parameters. It accepts text and image input, can analyze video as sampled frame sequences, generates text across a 262,144-token context window, and exposes a caller-controlled thinking mode. Google states the pretraining-data cutoff only as January 2025, so the structured knowledge_cutoff remains null.
