Magistral Medium 1.1 is Mistral AI's July 2025 update of its frontier-class enterprise reasoning model, served through the API as magistral-medium-2507 alongside open-weight Magistral Small 1.1. It always generates a thinking trace before answering. Mistral retired it on November 30, 2025 and lists Mistral Medium 3.5 as its replacement.
